Around 100 City supporters gathered in the Studio Theatre on Sunday evening to listen to a presentation given by the Steering Committee of the Derry City Trust.

Kevin McDaid outlined the background to a Trust, the role of a Trust at the club, and some of the projects the group has already become involved with.

Niall Conway gave a presentation on some of the types of projects that other Trusts have been involved with in Ireland and in the UK.

The panel then opened the forum to questions from the floor.  Questions surrounding links with the club, the Shamrock Rovers example were amongst the topics raised from the floor.

Following the Q&A regarding the Trust, Philip O’Doherty spoke to those in attendance to update them as to the club’s current situation.

The next step for the Trust is the first AGM with the election of a committee and officers.  This is scheduled to take place in January and we will be contacting all members prior to this.

The Derry City Supporters Trust will be hosting an Information Evening and Q&A Session in the Millennium Forum - on Sunday 6th December at 7.00pm

This session will allow all supporters - whether Trust members or potential Trust members - to come along and find out about the immediate and mid-term plans for the Supporters Trust and to clarify any questions they might have.
