Derry City Supporters Trust: Last Man Standing
Welcome to the Derry City Supporters Trust Last Man Standing Competition.
The competition provides the opportunity for supporters to test their powers of prediction as well as raising money for the Supporters Trust. We encourage all Derry City Supporters to enter the competition and to recruit family and friends to enter.
Entry is priced at £10 with £5 going to the prize pot and £5 going to the Supporters Trust. Therefore the more people you encourage to sign up, the more money you will win when you scoop the pot!
What is Last Man Standing?
The competition is about picking winning teams from the English Premiership over a ten week period.
-The competition starts on 9th January "Week One", and you must pick one team to win.
-If your team wins, you are through to the next round. If they draw or lose, you are out.
-You can only pick the same team once in a ten week period(For example if you pick Arsenal if week 1, you cannot pick them for the rest of the competition)
-If your team wins, you will receive an email at the start of the next week with the fixtures for the following week
-The competition continues over ten weeks until the "Last Man Standing" is left. If more than one player is left after week 10, the money is divided between the remaining players.
The prize fund will be 50% of all entry fees, so the more people that sign up the bigger the pot.
Rules
1. Email will be sent on Monday of each week informing successful players they have progressed to the next round and including fixtures for the next week.
2. Choices for the next week must be made by the 5pm on Thursday of that week. Failure to submit details will see players automatically allocated the lowest placed league team not picked to date. If a player sends in an entry with a team already picked they will also be allocated the lowest place team not selected to date.
3. There will be ten rounds in each series. If more than one player remains after ten rounds, prize money will be split between the remaining players.
4. Prize fund will be 50% of all entry fees, with 50% of the rest going to Derry City Supporters Trust.
5. Players can make up to five individual entries.
6. If a game is postponed after choices have been submitted, all entrants who picked teams involved will move on to the next week but will be unable to pick that team again.
7. If all games(ten games) in a given round end in a draw, all entrants will move onto the next round but will be unable to pick that team again.
